Rachid Aouchiche, M.D., F.A.C.S. – (pronounced Ow’ sheesh)
Dr. Aouchiche received his medical degree at the University of Algiers and completed his internship and residency at The Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He completed his fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and in retinal vascular disorders at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Kim Aouchiche, C.O, C.O.T.
Kim Aouchiche is Lee County’s only certified orthoptist. She is specially trained in the clinical science of eye movements and binocular vision. A graduate of Florida International University of Miami, she completed her orthoptic training at the Wilmer Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Michael Babatz, O.D.
Michael Babatz is a board certified optometric physician, practicing in the Fort Myers area for more than 10 years. He specializes in adult and pediatric eye examinations, cataract evaluations, management of diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration, comprehensive contact lens services and the treatment of dry eye syndrome and eye allergies. Originally from Minnesota and a graduate of the University of Minnesota, he majored in genetics and cell biology. He graduated magna cum laude with his doctor of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He is a member of the Southwest Florida Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Fraternity.
Peter Salls, L.O
Peter Salls is a licensed optician serving the needs of optical patients since 1976. Initially performing as an apprentice optician, he has served in the capacity of vice-president and president locally and for four years as state director for the Professional Opticians of Florida. He received the prestigious Optician of the Year award from this organization from 2002 through 2004.
